Medlyn Hospital wants every patient and family member to be able to use this website, including people with disabilities. We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
What we have built in
- Clear headings, landmarks and page structure that work with screen readers.
- Descriptive alternative text on photographs and meaningful images.
- Full keyboard access to menus, forms, the FAQ accordion and the booking form.
- Visible focus states and readable colour contrast in the site's design.
- Reduced motion: when your device asks for less animation, the website's animations are switched off.
- Responsive text and layouts that support zoom up to 200% without loss of content.
Known limitations
- The location map is an embedded third-party service and may not be fully accessible; the same address and directions are provided as text on the Visit page.
- Some downloadable documents added over time may not yet be fully accessible; ask us and we will provide the content in a format that works for you.
